Netcode

  • Netcode prediction for ability casting (similar to inventory prediction netcode).

Balance

  • Strength & Dexterity scaling on physical attack damage has been **reduced**.
  • Additional defensive penalties will apply to physical attacks against **red targets**.
  • Combat skills (ex: piercing, offense, dodge) will now increase **faster past 100**.
  • Melee range / hitbox for player races has been **standardized** and brought up on the low end, **increasing the melee range for most races**.
  • Players can no longer harvest resource nodes far above their gathering skill.
  • Trivial harvests can no longer fail skill checks.
  • Mana scaling is no longer capped from levels **1-3**.

Combat

  • **AC and damage refactors** implemented as a start to many changes in coming patches.
  • Big melee change affecting fighting against **red cons**.

General Abilities

  • Buff Times increased from 30 minutes to **60 minutes**.
  • Feign Death fail rate reduced by **half**.
  • Draw Strength line:
    • Draw Strength mana cost reduced from 10 to **5**.
    • Line filled out with: **Steal Strength, Extract Strength, Void Strength**.
  • Most forms of Snare and Root no longer **stack**.
  • Many Ice Based spells now have their Dispel Tags also properly set to **Movement Speed**.
  • **Tracking** is now a **Skill** and will be **auto-granted at Tracking skill 1** for appropriate classes.
  • Point Blank Area Effect abilities can now be used even if you have a friendly target selected.
  • Using the **Mend** ability will no longer break **Feign Death**.
  • Elves will no longer automatically use their Hide ability when logging in or scribing spells.
  • Changes to **charm break algorithm** relating to caster stats.
  • Reduce max air supply by **20%**.
  • **Sprint** now grants a speed bonus when used during **stealth**.

Class Changes

  • Archer
    • Added Ability: **Immobilizing Trap**.
    • Fixed an issue where **Disengagement** would not properly reduce threat with your target.
  • Bard
    • Instrument modifiers should only use **max equipped** instrument.
    • Don't do bard animations while **harvesting**.
    • Tracker trait now available.
  • Cleric
    • Added Ability: **Oath of Freedom**.
    • Divine Protection renamed **Oath of Protection**.
    • Resurrection Line:
      • Added Ability: **Redemption** (Level 16, **25% Experience Return**).
      • **Reanimation** now restores **15%** Experience, up from 0%.
      • **Resuscitation** now restores **35%** Experience, up from 25%.
  • Druid
    • Tracking added.
    • Tracker trait now available.
    • Added Ability: **Nature's Respite**.
  • Elementalist Blast Lines
    • Blast of Air line: Filled out with Abilities II through VI. Now a **Level 1 Ability** and only properly interrupts when causing the Backdraft effect. No longer silences.
    • Blast of Fire line: Filled out with Abilities II through V. Now creates a **Fire Vortex** when reacting to Elemental Air, and a **Steam Cloud** when reacting to Elemental Water.
    • Blast of Water line Added.
    • Blast of Earth line Added.
  • Inquisitor
    • Added Ability: **See Invisibility**.
  • Rogue
    • Increased **Ambush's Chance to Hit Modifier**.

Fixes & Hotfixes

  • Spike traps can no longer be used to damage NPCs.
  • Fixed some situations when client crashes on exit.
  • Fix to tracking when already tracking.
  • Prevent black textures from appearing when going to skeleton form.
  • Fix box volumes.
  • Skip client-side snapdown error that was affecting spiders on webs appearing to be in an incorrect position.
  • Fix sound effect on ability casting being fired off at the wrong time.
  • Fix wood elves and ogres.
  • Fix fizzle sometimes arriving too early and not being processed correctly.
  • Further fixes relating to an interaction between invisibility/stealth and assist causing healers to need a /reload.
  • Prioritize cleaning up entities that go invisible.
  • Character textures fixed. Casting messages and sound events fixed.
  • Fixes to casting animation, /who while /lfg on, and hotbuttons for torches/activatables.
  • Gamma range widened a bit. Fix broken 2h staves combat idle animation.

  • **Entirely new login server**.
  • Tons of new **optimizations** to the server and client side codebases.
  • Spawn command has been **fixed** (NPCs can now spawn other NPCs directly).
  • Fixes to enhanced items issues (infinite strength stacking, infinite disenchantment exploit).
  • Bag quality of life with looting items to the correct specialized bag.
  • More improvements to **character controller** to address falling through the world and getting stuck.
  • Fix being able to heal an NPC's pet. Added **/smile** emote.
  • New player guide is now more... **in your face!**
  • Build optimized, **reducing size of the client**.

  • More **Night Harbor** work and housing added. Prevented NH arena flooding.

  • Zone updates to **ESW, FP, KB, NH, SD, GF, SS, AC, WB** and other secret zones.
  • VoZ navmesh bounds increased to include King area. Fix hole in WB tunnel.
  • Boat/lift position and layer fixes in (KB, SS, FP, SD, Faelindral subscene).
  • New occlusion bakes (smaller, faster zoning) for SGS, GF, VoZ, SS.
  • Fallen pass - remove 3 lights, occlusion and navmesh rebakes, water volume fix.
  • Tel Ekir - water volume fix, add node links, navmesh. Sungreet Strand - Fix broken nodelinks, new navmesh.
  • West NH work and finalization.
  • More Shallow Shoals, Sageside, and Evershade Weald polish.
  • **Underdocks elevators**. More torches installed in various zones. Torch holders now accept crude torches.
  • The lifts in Keeper's Bight should no longer have invisible objects or water in their way.

Art & Animation

  • **Rat animations** updated and polished, becoming more ratty (Refix rats).
  • **Incense smoke VFX** and general new VFX added/updated. **Rain VFX** updated.
  • More spectre model work (Spectre model added to unity), fix beast stunned animations.
  • New models: **Bear trap model** and **Shadeshroom model**.
  • Harvest animation for **Wood Elves** added.
  • Updates to wood elf leather and night harbor cloth. **New herbs**.
  • Tons of progress on many zone environments. Some more animation polish.
  • **Horse rig updates** and texture updates (including shawl texture).
  • More customizations in **secret armor set textures O_O**.
  • **Wood Elf male model adjusted** slightly to be thicker; female model polished with **wood varnish**.
  • Myconid and various skeleton models fine tuning/polish.
  • Adjust waist UVs to reduce artifacting on the seam line.
  • Added an additional **lerp color option for cloth**.
  • Alpha feathering support for **armor shaders**.
  • **Character Art Fixes**: Addressed several item visuals or icons so they match closer (e.g., Saltlash Claw, Cloak of Shame, Lunar armor pieces, Ghostly Longbow, etc.).
  • Lots of work on many secret zones.

UI & Interface

  • Add **open petitions button**.
  • **Major Feature: Chat Tabs** are here! Create as many windows as you want, drag the tab into another chat’s ‘container’, with unread message notifications, detach/close/rename, and customizable activity indicator color.
  • **States UI updates**: added name to the top of the state, timer for rested is now below the icon. Sandstorms will prevent increase of the rested buff, unless you are sheltered.

Content

  • Halflings can now start in **Faelindral**, but Halfling Clerics and Paladins **cannot**.
  • **Black Shoals Fortress** is now fully populated and itemized.
  • Ancient Crypt respawn time lowered.
  • SHS population additions.
  • Bone Construct Ability Adjustment.
  • Traits: **Hide** now properly applies its effect and breaks when moving. **Bribe** is now resistable.
  • Persistent respawn time added to **Nyxx encounter in Fallen Pass**.

Tradeskills

  • Alchemy: **Eltindra's Blessing** charges increased to 10 and effect increased.
  • Bags added to **Leatherworking**.
  • Enchanting: Removed **Shirt Enchants**.
  • Disenchanting: Fixed several improperly flagged items from being Disenchantable.
  • Traits **Tracker trait** now available for Bards, Druids, and Rangers.

Itemization

  • Torches, Lanterns, and Lightstones are now **Small** size.
  • Jewelry cost adjustments.
  • Insert new enhancements immediately instead of waiting for client save to save them in bulk.
  • Latest data pulled to bring in boat/lift changes plus translocators fallback conditions.
  • Adjusted AC, damage, and weight values on recently added items to better reflect their level and rarity.
